Yeah, it sorta does. I could tell in the camera that it was interesting with that sodium vapor sky, but I was surprised too, when I saw it large. Not sure what it is.

This run ended on Sunday, but it looks like the piece has legs, so I suspect it will be back. Also, Steve is now artistic director of the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, so there will be some more opportunity to hear contemporary percussion stuff, I think.

And what’s happening with your projects? I’m ready to hear some more improvisational fun and games.

Naturally ( I suppose), my rigorousness ebbs and flows. I go through periods where I have the energy to shoot every little thing I find even vaguely interesting. Other times, I just can't muster the motivation to shoot something I know I ought to. And then I'll feel bad about missing it afterward. Someday when I have an iPhone, it'll make it easier to take a potshot any old time I feel like it.

There's no doubt that the sharing activity adds an addictive dimension to the photography activity. That's no accident; these social network site builders know how to exploit our gaming intuitions! :)

I know what you mean about becoming obsessed with this photo taking business,
even though I haven't been involved in any official projects of any kind, just motivated by my own personal desire to keep posting items to the Flickr site...

For quite a while now already, it seems as though an outing of any kind, even just
for shopping or some other errand, is a pretense for me to find more things to photograph, bring back home with me, upload to the computer, sort through & edit
& then pass on up the pipe to Flickr...

And one thing that bugs me a lot is when as I am watching the world go by
( usually from a seat on the bus ) and I suddenly notice a scene flit by that I would have liked to have captured, ( but I've already turned the camera off & put it away )
Of course, in most cases, I probably wouldn't have been able to catch it just the
way I would have wanted to, anyway, even if I had the camera at the ready...

I think I've even spent time in the limbo state inbetween trying to get to sleep & falling asleep ( & perhaps even into the state of sleep & dreams )
taking picures ( & editing them too ) in my mind...

Really? Was it "The Philosophy of Language" by Martinich (Oxford)? Mine's the 2nd edition.
